The Mangalam Group
Established in April 1969 as a sole proprietary concern, The Mangalam Group had a humble beginning. Founded by Late Sri M.C. Varghese, an extra ordinary visionary with social commitment and dedication, The Mangalam Group initiated the project of publishing a weekly magazine that would capitalise on the insatiable appetite of the average Malayalee reader. The success of Mangalam weekly marked the dawn of a new era in the publishing sector of Kerala, that has ultimately rewritten the publishing history of Asia (circulation 1.5 million in 1984) and established a well reputed household name MANGALAM in India. This paved the way for the expansion of the Mangalam group with diverse projects. Today, the Mangalam Group of companies enjoys a comfortable spacing as one of India’s largest media houses.The pioneering vision and academic initiatives of Mangalam led to the emergence of a number of educational institutions in the higher education sector of Kerala, giving more options for higher studies and professional education as well as research in Engineering, Mangalam studies and Teacher education.

Mangalam Foundation, guided by eminent and enterprising personalities, has been playing vital rolesin the promotion of academic sector. Mangalam Foundation organises various social development programmes with a social concern through innovative and effective educational projects. The Mangalam Group of Educational Institutions in Functioning under the management control and supervision of Mangalam Foundation which is governed by a governing Board and Management Council.
About the School
Mangalam English medium Residential High School was founded and is being promoted and managed by Mangalam Foundation, a charitable organization registered under the trust Travancore –Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955 No: K 243/82. The school is located at Mangalam Hills Ettumanoor about 2 Km from Etumanoor town ,in a clam and serene atmosphere which is congenial for ideal learning.
Academic features
The school aims at value quality based education with special emphasis on personality development, character formation, and academic excellence. The medium of instruction is English. The school gives individual attention to students. Tutorial system and micro teaching are our unique features.
Activities and performance of a student are evaluated systematically and regularly, through slip tests and unit tests in addition to terminal and annual examination. Report card will be send to parents after each examination. We have special library and general knowledge periods for each class.Remedial classes are specially conducted for weak students. The student strength is kept limited in order to achieve maximum student teacher interaction.
